もちろん継続的に訓練することです！それからマインドを常にオープンの状態にしておくこと。吸収力が違います。そして音楽も、人の言うこともよく聴いて、観察をすることが大切ですね。
Most important thing is to work hard! Also, to keep your mind open. You will be able to absorb a lot more with an open mind. It is also important to listen to the music and what others tell you carefully.
僕は米国コロラド州の小さな街の出身です。ロサンゼルスには８年前に仕事のために移りました。最初はとても緊張しましたが、ダンサー仲間に囲まれ、オーディションで合格をもらってBritney SpearsやJennifer Lopez等のアーティストとも仕事をし、スクールでクラスも受け持たせてもらえました。本当にキャリアに恵まれて、心から感謝をしています。その過程で重要だったのは、「恐れる気持ち(fear)」を捨てることでした。恐れを捨てて、自分の知らないことに挑戦する気持ちが、私をここまで連れて来てくれたんだと思います。
I’m from a small town in Colorado and moved to Los Angeles 8 years ago. I was very nervous in the beginning. But I’m fortunate to have great dancer friends, to be able to work with great artists such as Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, and to teach at dance studios. I have had a great career and I am thankful for that. In order to come here, I think it was important to leave “fear” behind and to be open to challenging something that I didn’t fully know.
本当に皆勤勉で、一生懸命に私のクラスを受けてくれています。そして音楽的センス（Musicality）がとてもあると思います！
Everyone is very focused and hard working in my class. And they all have great musicality.
私は子供の頃、ヒップホップからダンスを始めましたが、直ぐにバレエを習得せねばとクラシックバレエを徹底的に学びました。なので僕のスタイルはバレエのテクニックをベースにしたダイナミックなものになっています。私の生徒にはその基礎トレーニングをもっともっと積んで欲しいと思っています。軸はしっかりと保ちながら、ダイナミックで時には水のように流れる動きも、バレエの基礎があるからこそ美しくできるのです。
I started dancing in a hip hop class, but soon learned that I needed to take a ballet lesson. Since then, I worked hard to master classic ballet. That’s why my style of dance combines the ballet technique with dynamic movements. I hope my students will continue to train themselves in basic technical training. It will enable them to have a strong center and present dynamic flowy movements at the same time.
東京でクラスを教えられるのは、私にとって長年の夢でした！クラスを受講して下さっている皆さんに心から感謝します。皆さんには私のクラスを通して、いつもと違った動きを体験して貰いたいと思います。そしてそれが皆さんが踊ることのインスピレーションになったら、嬉しいです！
It’s been my dream to teach classes in Tokyo! I want to thank all the students who are taking my classes here. I would like them to experience different kinds of movements. And I hope that experience becomes their inspiration to continue dancing!
