ネザーランドダンスシアター(NDT1)で活躍した刈谷円香とケン・オソラによるコンテンポラリーダンスの集中創作ワークショップ「Dance to Connect(＠dancetoconnect_jp)」を開催いたします。
参加者は、ワークショップにおいて、ケン・オソラと刈谷円香の指導のもと、新作のクリエーションを行います。作品は、渋谷ヒカリエ にて上演いたします。

・バレエ経験3年以上
・コンテンポラリーダンス経験者

● 参加条件
・クリエーションワークショップ（5月10日〜14日）および ショーイング（5月15日終日）に全日参加可能な方
※参加不可日がある場合は、申込時に申請すること。
※期間中、BDCで実施される刈谷円香／Ken Ossolaのクラスを積極的に受講すること。あわせて、BDCのバレエクラスなど各クラスにも積極的に参加し、主体的に研鑽に取り組む意欲があること。

② Ken Ossolaの振付を、指定ビデオをもとに覚えて踊る(課題曲2曲 A・Bのうち、いずれか1曲を選んで踊ってください。)

Director：刈谷円香(＠mado_kary)

2025年1月までオランダのネザーランド・ダンス・シアター(NDT) I に所属。現在もオランダを拠点にダンサー・モデルとして活躍中。

５歳からクラシックバレエを始め、2009年ユースアメリカグランプリ、ニューヨーク決戦にて銀賞、スカラシップ賞受賞。ドイツに留学、在学中にドイツ学術交流会(DAAD)より優秀な人材へ送られる奨学金を授与され、学士号も取得。 卒業後はチューリッヒ・バレエ・ジュニアに入団、2014年からネザーランド・ダンス・シアター2、17年ネザーランド・ダンス・シアター1に昇格入団。

NDT在籍中は数多くの振付家との新作やレパートリー作品にに参加。21年出身地宮城県の芸術選奨新人賞を受賞。

Guest Choreographer：Ken Ossola (@ken_ossola_choreography)

スイス出身の振付家・元ダンサー。
イリ・キリアン率いるネザーランド・ダンス・シアター(NDT)で世界的に活躍し、退団後はイリ・キリアンおよびハンス・ファン・マーネンの作品において、ステージャー／アシスタントとして再演制作にも携わってきた。
現在は振付家として、ジュネーヴ大劇場バレエ団、グラン・バレエ・カナディアン、上海バレエ団、ボストン・バレエなど、世界各地の著名なダンスカンパニーに作品を提供している。

Intensive Creation Workshop “Dance To Connect”

＼ Applications Now Open for the Intensive Creation Workshop “Dance To Connect”! ／
We are pleased to announce the Contemporary Dance Intensive Creation Workshop “Dance To Connect” (@dancetoconnect_jp), led by Madoka Kariya and Ken Ossola, both former members of Netherlands Dance Theater (NDT1). This will happen in May 2026, in Tokyo, Japan.
During the workshop, selected participants will engage in the creation of a new work under the direction of Ken Ossola and Madoka Kariya. The piece will be performed at Shibuya Hikarie, right in the heart of a pop-culture and entertainment hub Shibuya.

Dancer Application Guidelines

● Capacity
11 participants
(Minimum of 5 participants required. The workshop may be cancelled if fewer than 5.)

● Eligibility Requirements
• Ages 17–25
• Minimum 3 years of classical ballet training
• Experience in contemporary dance

● Participation Requirements
• Must be available for all days of the Creation Workshop (May 10–14) and the Showing (May 15, full day).
• If unavailable on any date, please declare this at the time of application.
• Participants are expected to actively attend classes by Madoka Kariya and Ken Ossola at Broadway Dance Center Tokyo during the period, as well as ballet and other classes at BDC, and demonstrate proactive commitment to artistic development.

Director: Madoka Kariya (@mado_kary)
Madoka Kariya was a member of Netherlands Dance Theater (NDT I) until January 2025 and continues to work internationally as a dancer and model based in the Netherlands.
She began classical ballet at age five. In 2009, she won the Silver Medal and a scholarship award at the Youth America Grand Prix New York Finals. She studied in Germany, where she received a DAAD scholarship for outstanding students and obtained her bachelor’s degree.
After graduation, she joined Zürich Ballet Junior, then Netherlands Dance Theater 2 in 2014, and was promoted to Netherlands Dance Theater 1 in 2017.
During her time at NDT, she performed in numerous new creations and repertoire works by leading choreographers. In 2021, she received the Miyagi Prefecture Art Encouragement Award for Emerging Artists.

Guest Choreographer: Ken Ossola (@ken_ossola_choreography)
Swiss choreographer and former dancer.
He performed internationally with Netherlands Dance Theater under Jiří Kylián. After retiring from performance, he worked as a stager and assistant for works by Jiří Kylián and Hans van Manen.
Currently, as a choreographer, he creates works for leading dance companies worldwide, including Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Shanghai Ballet, and Boston Ballet.
